problem with A6 is that it looks like an A4 from a distance/ on a photo, unlike C and E class, you can idenifity them far away.

definatley not for the look, only for those that really need the space.

But at ~$810k, what do you get?
Everything standard and barebones. No enhanced MMI. Optional sat nav. Optional Bose or B/O audio. Optional (or no) rear Sport Diff (active LSD?)......

No thanks -- will wait for S7 Avant instead......

The new A6 Avant looks much better in person than the wagons from Mercedes or BMW. I went to the show room and have a look - it looks great with typical understated beauty that will last the test of time. The new A6 line is actually the most advanced of the Audi line-up today (except R8 and TT) - in terms of construction, chassis design and the application of latest technologies. My only compliant is Audi HK will list most of the technologies marketed by Audi AG as "options" or "simply not available in Hong Kong". There is no adaptive damper, no sport differential, and none of the technology assistant are not in the base price.

But we can look at this way, for around $810K it is slightly more expensive than the BMW335i, with similar power and torque output, but the A6 has permanent quattro with the latest crown-gear differential, torque vectoring, and simply a more classy package. It is not cheap, but in a way still competitive in the market.

Torque vectoring is only available with Active LSD (Sport Diff) option which is still N/A for HKDM
Also not sure if crown gear centre diff is just as good as Torsen

AC system has been downgraded AFAIK
Standard "Deluxe climate control" is only dual zone with NO digital display
