當代理 DCH 在五月初推出這套特價組合時我便想試聽，原因之一是 Esoteric 很少推出這麼便宜的產品，而且今次還有特價，所以我很想知道這套組合和最高級的 Esoteric Grandioso 系列有多少分別 （有年初时曾試聽過每台定價要二十萬的 Grandioso 系列），所以代理邀請我們試聽這组合時我當然立即答應。

Esoteric 外型設計和傳統日本音響的多功能表現於外表很不同，外型簡㓗但在細節地方表現出精良造工，在平價的 K-07 及 I-05 也能體現這個優點。

K-07 SACD/CD player 雖然沒有用上高級機 K-05 以上所採用的 VRDS (Vibration-free Rigid Disc Clamping System) 機械承盤系統，但也用上 Esoteric 獨家的雷射拾取機構 VOSP (Vertical-aligned Optical Stability Platform)，它主要是以轉動的方式來取代傳統使用上下左右擺動方式而達到最大的雷射拾取效果，相信你很難在同價位的 SACD player 找到比這個更好的機構。在數位轉換 DAC 部分，K-07 採用雙 DAC 左右聲道分離的全平衡設計，毎聲道採用一對 AKM (日本旭化成) AK4392 32-bit DAC。加上全新的 Digital filter 模式，RDOT (Refined Digital Output Technology) 數位升頻技術及高精度的 VCXO (Voltage Controlled Crystal Oscillator) 時鐘，令這 K-07 SACD player 雖然平價但音質絶不瞬息。

和 K-07 一様， I-05 integrated amplifier 是 Esoteric 入門的合併擴音機。雖為入門型號，但設計絕不馬夫，機箱內部採用三個分隔室從容納前級及左右聲道後級放大電路板，這除了能減少電路板之間的干擾，亦有助增加機身剛度，繼而得到抑振效果。和上級機 I-03 同樣使用自家 MSW (Master Sound Work) 全平衡 D 類放大電路，左右聲道後級放大部份採用獨立線路板，可有效降低左右聲道的交互干擾。前級放大部份設置在機箱後方，有助縮短訊號路徑，從而降低雜訊。電源供應為一顆大型 EI 型電源變壓器，每聲道配上四顆 Nippon Chemicon 生產的大型濾波電容，有幫提升重播高動態音樂時的表現。音量控制採用自家的 QVCS (Quad Volume Control System) 技術 - 當轉動音量旋鈕時，增益會影響左右聲道丶正負電力的四個電路，系統將音頻訉號分離（從右到左；從正到負）因此能達到音道分離而相位精凖的聲音特色。

今次試聴 Esoteric 組合的揚聲器是法國 Cabasse Egea 3 三路座地揚聲器，這款揚聲器使用一個源自旗艦級 La Sphere 系統所應用的 Spatially Coherent Ssystem (SCS) 空間凝聚系統的 BC13 高中音同軸單元，及兩個 17cm Duocell 低音單元。SCS 同軸單元令不同頻段的聲音能同時同軸的重現，有助凝聚直接與反射聲音，提供穏定而立體的音像。

Esoteric K-07 SACD player 及 I-05 integrated amplifier 給我的第一印象是它的聲底和 Grandioso 系列十分相似，這不是一般的相似，是聽過頭幾分鐘你己確定的相似，是你看到小孩子的臉你便知父母是誰的相似，它的聲底遍向中性，在高分晰力中慢慢浸出音樂感的聲音。Esoteric 的聲音十分獨特，它比 Accuphase , Luxman ， Marantz 更通清，但你不會認為它缺乏音樂感，如上次試聽 Grandioso 系列時配上 Tannoy 揚聲器時効果便十分岀色。

我首先 SACD 試聽這套組合，聽 SACD 版的 Diana Krall -The girl in the other room, 人聲線條十分淸晰，每個聲音都淨美無瑕，而且聲音不會過份單溥，相反樂器聲極具重量感，加上 Egea 3 重現音樂空間的能力，令這音樂立體感十足。聽過幾首 SACD 樂曲後，我們試聽 Esoteric K-07 SACD player 重播 CD 的能力，我們找來 YG Acoustic Test CD，這 CD 在樂器質感的強調十分出色，所以筆者喜歡以此 CD 來測試器材。聽 Esoteric 的 SACD player 很多時你會發現一些新的音樂細節而以前沒有留意到，K-07 的極佳分析力及透明感令樂器的質感真實自然，令各種樂器的味道都正確地表現出來。K-07 配備 RDOT 升頻技術，能把 44.1 kHz PCM 升頻至 22.5792 MHz DSD 解碼，升頻後的聲音密度丶結像力及定位感會有所提升，但有時可能會太過刻意而影響音樂的自然感。

接著我們換來 Dynamic Piano Beethoven Piano Sonatas，I-05 和一些小巧但輸出極高的 Class D 擴音機不同，它較着重整體的平衡感及音樂瞬間變化的速度感，特別在高频段的變化表現非常清晰，所以聆聽音域寬廣的鋼琴獨奏就可以明顯感覺到上述特性。

購買  Esoteric I-05 integrated amplifier 要留意和揚聲器的配搭，雖然 I-05 是 Class D 擴音機，但它並不是那些機身小巧卻有幾百瓦輸出的擴音機，它比較適合推動小型的書架揚聲器。試聽配用的 Cabasse Egea 3 座地揚聲器是易推動的型號，但試聽交響樂時在大音壓的時侯仍會發現聲音會有些鬆散。五萬不到的售價，若配上合適的揚聲器，它能讓你忙記重播器材存在的通透聲音，令你更專著音樂的味道。
