My pair of A Compact is bought from R33 2nd hand market and it is a Rosewood version. Current market value of a new pair is around $4.5 - 5K.

The former owner said that he had used it for 13 months. No burn-in is required.

Before test it sersiously, I have run it for more than 24 hours continously.

Although its appearance is very small, its sound scale does not as compact as its size.

Both mid-range (especailly vocal) and treble are clean and clear. Bass is adequate in view of the size of its bass unit.

Overall speaking, the sound nature of studio monitor can be found in A Compact. It tends to present music at a rational attitude. Danny Summer sings in a less intensive tone while Jacintha performs the songs in a cool and relaxing manner. The atmosphere is so quiet that you are the only audience in the concert.

I think that some people may say it lacks a bit warmth and passion.

This speaker is most suitable for audiophiles, who like to feel the singers standing in front of them and to have a 'touch'.

For those who are looking for heavy bass and great dynamics, please don't take them to your home.
