A good entry power-amp with Linn's signature - muscial, sweet, and easy to the hear. The amp is best used with Linn's pre-amp and speakers, especially in Active mode. It becomes more dynamic and open. However, Linn is not strong in separation and sound stage. It is not bass heavy comparing to most of the USA amp in this range. Personally, I found the Linn's presentation is very attractive and can listen to various music for long period of time.

Comparing Linn LK85, which I also owned, LK140 gives a little bit more detailed but also a little cooler in presentation. I still prefer LK140, where the dynamics does make some difference.

Finally, anyone considering buying a LK140 as a channel amp for AV, don't waste your money. It is not built for AV purpose. Better leave it for pure music.
